The Archers Variation Progress

Hi guys, I know it's been a long time, but you try being an interdimensional being living with both hands tied behind his back!

Well I'm excited about the progress of my Archers story.  The characters are really taking shape! At first it wasn't easy transferring the work hard play later or not at all ethos of the Archers, into the world of online gamers.  But I think I've really nailed it.

I've just got a few kinks in the plot to iron out then I'm there.

Stayed tuned folks!

You've been promising this for a long time now. Either you are flat out lying (Then we have to wonder what your motives are) or you just can't finish the damn thing. What makes you think anyone is rmotely interested anyway, the idea just seems pointless. Just give it up, no one is interested.

  2. I hope you've included some strong female game player characters. The real Archers is well represented with good female characters. The gaming world is no longer predominately male populated.

As you know, I don't watch TV, but occasionally enjoy The Archers. I do agree with MOG, not sure what the point of your story will be? As for you Mr Deed, you've got what you deserve. Betting in any form is a sin, and as any intelligent person knows the only person who wins is the bookie!

  6. I think if anyone wants to bet it's up to them. As long as they're not harming anyone or pulling their family into debt, then it's just harmless fun.

  7. Many a family has suffered through (usually a man) a member's gambling addiction. My heart sinks when I see yet another betting shop open where a charity shop once stood. gambling is destroying lives! The government need to make gambling illegal now!

Polly, while I agree that gambling as in any addiction has harmed lives, I don't think a totalitarian approach to legislation will help! I know many intelligent people who gamble for fun, and are careful to only spend what they can afford. Any pastime that is used as escapist addiction is harmful. The causes of addiction need to be looked at, and people supported and educated. The last thing we need is a nanny state!
